I had the distinct honour and pleasure of being invited to partake in a two-part managed services “roundtable”, for the CMD-CTRL-PWR (Command Control Power) podcast. Along with Allen Hancock (Watchman Monitoring and The Orchard Solutions), Kevin Ginger (kGinger Consulting), and the podcast hosts (Joe Saponare of PsiMac, Sam Valencia of HCS Technology, and Jerry Zigmont of MacWorks), we discussed a myriad of topics related to the managed services way of providing IT services.

I find the subject of Managed Services quite fascinating, as it involves developing and maintaing a carefully-choreographed “platform”. What I mean by “platform”, is the core set of services and tools that we leverage in order to provide our services to clients. From software, monitoring, remote access, billing, contract management, to documentation, this platform is crucial in allowing us to be efficient, automate processes, and ultimately manufacture more time – time we can spend investing in our relationships with our clients and families.
